About MANA

For improving the standards in education, it was decided by the Government to introduce video lessons to supplement
class room education, especially for the benefit of student community in rural areas.
In this direction a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and
ISRO for cooperation in the use of Ku-Band based satellite
network and MANA -T.V. channels were established.
At present, MANA-T.V. programmes are telecasted in two channels viz., Channel-I and Channel-II.

Efforts and necessary arrangements are being made for the installation of
MANA-T.V. in the rest of the Govt. Jr. Colleges. The the managements of all
the Government Aided and Private Junior Colleges in the state are also advised to
have the necessary infrastructure for viewing MANA - T.V. programmes for the
benefit of the students in their colleges.
For broad understanding about the requirements of various materials, the bill of materials
obtained from A.P.T.S. for installation of MANA-T.V. is given below
